Dr. George Kotrotsios dedicated his professional life to the creation of economic and societal value through high-end technology. He served as member of the Executive Board of CSEM, a major Swiss Research and Innovation center in microelectronics and smart digital systems (2010-2022). Before that he had key management role in the same organization. Retired, since February 2023, he is involved in the preparation of new projects related to technological innovation, among others as technology advisor to medical scale-up’s.

He published numerous articles in peer reviewed journals and conferences, was member of the Scientific Committee of numerous conferences and acted as an expert for national and international R&D projects. He authored two monograph “Data, New Technologies and Global Imbalances” and “Social Classes and Political Order in the age of Data”. His articles and interviews appeared in major Swiss newspapers (“Le Temps” and “Agefi”).

 

In 2015 he has been elected member of the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences.
